The population of the Guardia Pilosa (800m.) is located on the edge of the Anoia region and dominates the landscape towards the 4 cardinal points. It was abandoned in 1967 and since 1974 it has been repopulated to consist of about fifteen neighbors throughout the year.
The Tiller and the recovery of the Era of Andreu, are the result of a conversation with the place and with the pre-existences that surround it. The geometry and history of the plot, the environmental and physical conditions of the environment, have shaped and eroded the project until it is formed.
In order to respond to these conditions, the project proposes a geometric tearing that goes from the facade of the road to the top of the Era. This esberlada starts in the form of a courtyard attached to the façade and slips into the interior of the plot through the staircase / grada that connects the Era with the lower street, dividing in appearance, the program of the house with respect to the workshop. However, a furtive staircase located in the heart of the building, joins them below the scale described. This external public staircase, which begins with a rectilinear section to end up folding on itself, becomes the real backbone of the project. Finally, the cut is used to arrange the interior facades that, being able to open towards the patio and the lateral passage, are understood as interior curtains creating, as bambolines, situations of vis-à-vis between house-pati-workshop that amplify light, depth and spatial perception.
As important as the aspects described in the project as a result of the cut, it is the containment of the land itself, which is formed as the generating action of the general structural and constructive principles of housing. A 7m high retaining wall constitutes the authentic interior facade of the house. This is accompanied by three slender concrete screens that together with the roof slab, stabilize the strong thrusts of the land.
The rest of the structures are in laminated wood, making the facade facing through a system based on 80x160mm mullions that serve to support the beams of the light slab of P1 or the roofs of the workshop. These originate from extending the existing slopes of neighboring decks. Finally, the perimeter structure located in the NE partition consists of a laminated wooden horse that rests on a load-bearing wall type ballon-frame allowing to continue existing stone from neighboring farms.
