The proposal for the sports center is summarized in the architectural integration of several requirements of the project promoter and its adaptation to the location and its urban conditions:
– The determination of a main project level, the one where access to the tracks is made, at a height lower than the current level. A ramp on the north side, with a gentle slope and enabled for road traffic, will connect both levels forming a longitudinal vestibule that runs through the entire project.
– The establishment of the northeast corner as a public access space for the facility, at the intersection between Carrer de l’església (which allows direct access to the center of the municipality and the main street) and the Cervelló stream.
– The complete accessibility of the proposal at all levels.
– The creation of a system of stands on the south side of the tracks, which progressively links the level of the tracks with the topographic profile of the Ronda de la Barquera.
– The need to understand a facility of these characteristics as a multifunctional space, beyond strictly sports, where public events can be held.
– The determination of a public garden between the built volume of the pavilion and future residential developments.
