Approximately 4% of the planet’s water destined for the production and manufacture of human industrial needs is used for the production of cotton.
The apparent metallic volume of this installation corresponds to the volume of water necessary to dress a single person, if the weather is benign, of course.
Cotton, so used for our clothing and daily life, reaches our hands with a pre-established obsolescence and subject to forced renewal from season to season. Showing the original flower of the plant allows us to become aware of the environmental consequences of our way of life.
Our consumption of the first human need, water, is incompatible with the sustainable development of the planet.
